2018 Mid Year Update Part 1
At the end of each year we share a little bit about some of the projects we’ve worked on, but those sweeping overviews don’t really give a super deep insight into what goes into each of them.
With that in mind, we’ve decided to do a mid-year check in for 2018 so that we can talk a little bit more about the progress of each house and other things we have going on. Pretty “after” pictures are great, but we spend A LOT of time before the final finishes are installed to make sure everything is just right. So check out some of our ongoing projects and see what happens on the other side of the plastic . . .
Windsor Farms Remodel
This project involves a complete update of the home’s interior including a new kitchen and new bathrooms as well as a few other design details.
One of those details in a new front door. Out with the old as our crew sets up the framing for the new entry.
In the kitchen, we did a full gut to the studs. Red cabinets are GONE. Other updates include a new cabinet layout with an island and a larger window over the sink for more natural light.
The new master bath includes one of our all-time favorite showers thanks to this super unique tile and built-in, recessed shelving. A big change from the “before.”
In the hall bath, we demoed to the studs and expanded into a bedroom to create more elbow room.
We've been sharing more updates on this renovation on our Facebook and Instagram pages as well, so make sure to follow us there.
Church Hill Addition and Renovation
This is an intense gut and demo project that will include renovating the interior of the existing house, removing an old, unusable addition and replacing it with a new and improved addition.
You’ll notice the dumpster is parked in the back of the house ready to be filled. This is going to be a dramatic transformation when all is said and done.
Fan House Front Porch
This house is getting a facelift - almost literally. Our PM, Seth, has been hard at work on a full-scale design. We mocked up the new door surround with good old fashioned duct tape.
Custom trim work is assembled to give this home a new look.
And the almost-after shot - we are nearly wrapped up with this project, but will be painting the front door black before we’re done.
Stratford Hills for Sale!
For this home we partnered up with Atlas Realty to put this house on the market. There were lots of updates here including an awesome family room renovation. We also removed some interior load-bearing walls to make a more open, improved space.
Professional Development
To build a beautiful home, you have to build an excellent team. Professional development is key to keeping all of us up to date on new products, techniques and trends. Our team spent the day at the Katz Roadshow to learn some valuable building and carpentry lessons. We’re always looking to improve our game!
